Panathinaikos’ big “hit” came with Roko Leni Ukic! The “Greens” decided to pay 1,600,000 euros for the next two years in the Croatian guard and to create a great duo in the perimeter with Dimitris Diamantidis.
Ukic had a better offer from Unics Kazan, while he was in advanced negotiations with Unicaja Malaga, but chose to sign with Panathinaikos, because as he said just before his official announcement to sentragoal.gr: «I love the project. I was told that I will have an important role in the team. Greece is a basketball country and I don’t think I’ve ever won there with any team. So, if you can not beat someone, you go on his side”.
Cedevita also made an important transfer by signing Bracey Wright, who had played there also in the 2010-11 season, before his season with Zaragoza.
