El Diario Sur revealed that Olympiacos has interest in Joe Ingles, as well as Malaga, but at this point it seems that the Australian will stay in Barcelona.
Olympiacos indeed express interest in the 25 year old small forward and actually in the middle of July they were pretty close to acquire him. But Barca put an end to his transfer. «Joe will stay with us», was the message that they sent to Piraeus.
Of course after the end of 2011-12 season, their original thought, was to let him go and this is why his representatives in “Priority Sports” began the discussions with Olympiacos. But after his stellar play with the National team of Australia, Barcelona people changed their minds and decided to keep Ingles, who has another year of contract with them. And even though Malaga is putting bit pressure to get him, at this moment it seems that he will continue to be a Barcelona resident.
