Calderon joins Nowitzki

By Aris Barkas/ barkas@eurohoops.net

After the first days of July a lot of free agents already know their next destination in the NBA and that also includes some distinguished European names. Spaniard Jose Calderon will join forces with one of the best – if not the best – European player in history, German’s favorite son Dirk Nowitzki, as he is ready to sign a four years 29 million dollars deal with Dallas.

Italian Marco Belinelli is leaving the Bulls and will continue his career in San Antonio, with the Spurs offering him a two years 5,6 million dollars contract. One other former player of the Bulls, Turkish center Omer Asik is asking to leave Houston, because he will not remain the starting center of the team with Dwight Howard coming to town.

Also, on the rookie front, Boyan Bogdanovic is about to leave Fenerbahce/ Ulker in order to join the Brooklyn Nets and the same applies to Nemanja Nedovic who is ready to leave Lietuvos Rytas for the Golden State Warriors.
