After losing at home by Laboral Kutxa in Euroleague and having already lost three games in its domestic league after seven gamedays, an embarrassing by Maccabi Tel Aviv’s standards 4-3 record, the job of coach David Blatt is all but secure.
According to Eurohoops sources from Israel, the owners of the team and president Simon Mizrahi who said that having three domestic league losses is “unacceptable”, are thinking of firing Blatt this weekend. His replacement will be current assistant Guy Goodes and team manager Nikola Vujcic will be added to the coaching stuff as an assistant. It remains to be seen if Blatt can turn the situation around, or if he will take all the blame for the current situation of the team.
