Whem Malcolm Delaney left Bayern Munich for Lokomotiv Kuban, he was criticized by many for his choice.
He was accused that money was the main reason for signing in Russia and that he turned his back to powerhouses which may offered less money, but also the chance to win titles.
This is his reply in his own words on istangram after getting the ticket to the Final Four: “Biggest achievement of my career so far. And this one is the best. People always criticize Americans because they don’t sign with the “big clubs” but this has always meant more to me, it’s not just about money it’s about taking teams that aren’t supposed to win and turn them in to winners. And that’s all im about. It’s better to beat the big teams and we did a lot of that this yr. next step #FINAL4 shout out to all my teammates, coaches and most of all our fans lokobasket tonight was fun”.
