Daletic replaced Zouros as Buducnost VOLI head coach

Ilias Zouros is unable to lead Budućnost VOLI in the season’s ending, when the Blues will be playing in the Montenegrin domestic championship.

The Greek coach has to undergo the hip surgery and will have several months of treatement. In such of a situation the club’s management decided to appoint the former assistant coach Igor Đaletić as the new head coach.

Ilias Zouros took over Budućnost VOLI team in the middle of November and led the team to the Semi-finals, where they were only one win away from reaching the Finals in the end.

Zouros stated after departing from Podgorica, that he would love to come back after the surgery: “Unfortunately, I have to leave, but I hope that the team would successfully bring the season to an end. The team has good future ahead of itself and I hope to come back and continue the job next season. I am already in negotiations with the club’s President and I hope that, after the treatement of course, everything is finished correctly and that we will all finish our business that we have started.”

The new head coach Igor Daletic has thanked Zouros on cooperation and stated that he is satisfied with it: “Above all I would like to wish successful recovery to coach Ilias and quick regeneration and to thank him on cooperation. We had plenty of beautiful and tough moments together and I am satisfied with our joint work so far.”
