Crvena Zvezda suffered more than expected to advance in the quarterfinals of the Serbian Cup. Dusan Alimpijevic’s men needed an overtime to defeat Borac, which level is quite lower.

We had to wait until the last quarter, but the underdogs recovered the lead (51 – 53, 33′). With the game tied, Predrag Prlja had the chance to complete the upset but he missed two free throws and the game was decided in overtime.

Zvezda stood strong in extra time and took the victory. James Feldeine and Taylor Rochestie (6 assists) led the winners with 15 points apiece. Mathias Lessort contributed with 11 points and 10 boards.

Crvena Zvezda will now face FMP, that easily beat Metalac 101 – 60, in semifinals.
