Thanks to a dominant second half, Morabanc Andorra took a great victory over Real Madrid to tie the quarterfinal series 1 – 1.

Andorra may have suffered a blowout win in Game 1 but recovered well enough in the second Spanish League quarterfinal against Real Madrid to win 89 – 77 and force a Game 3 in the series.

Giorgi Shermadini towered over his opponents with a double-double consisted of 19 points/11 rebounds while Andrew Albicy scored (15 points) and created (8 assists) beautifully.

Oliver Stevic finished with 15 points plus 8 rebounds while Thanasis Antetokounmpo dropped 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds with brother Giannis cheering from the stands.

Andres Nocioni and Jaycee Carroll were the top scorers for Real with 15 points each while Sergio Llull had 12 and Luka Doncic finished with 8 points plus 6 rebounds.

After trailing 39 – 35  at halftime, the hosts stormed in the third period for a 34 – 20 (!) partial score which put them in the driver’s seat for good. They never lost their grip on their lead, even being up by 18, 86 – 68 with four minutes remaining.
