Gran Canaria stayed perfect in the Spanish League after beating Baskojnia 100-82 in Week 3 of the championship.

Many players from the winning squad got distinguished with their performances but Marcus Eriksson was particularly fiery, raining 22 points (6/7 from beyond the arc) on the Basques.

Captain Albert Oliver added 17 points and DJ Seeley with Ondrej Balvin 11 apiece.

After falling behind 27 -18 at the end of the first quarter, Baskonia bounced back thanks to a sensational Jayson Granger who scored 20 out of his 28 points in 13 minutes he stayed on the floor during the first half. Yet he and his teammates would crumble down defensively after the break…

Coach Luis Casimiro’s players scored 33 points in the third period preserving their lead and then proceeded to dominated the last stretch of the match, even getting a 20-point advantage, 98 – 78.

Granger didn’t receive much help from his teammates save from Tornike Shengelia who posted 21 points and 4 rebounds and Baskonia fell to a 1-2 record, few days before its EuroLeague debut vs Olympiacos on the road.
