Belgrade police found drugs and guns in an Audi A4 with American plates registered to former basketball player and Partizan Belgrade president Nikola Pekovic, Friday, various Serbian media report.

Passengers Radojko Tomasevic (35) and Ivan Golocevac (30), both Montenegro citizens, were arrested and taken to the Higher Prosecutor’s office in Belgrade. Golocevac was found in possession of cocaine while two guns (including a Ruger revolver) and ammunition were found in a special compartment of the vehicle.

After their arrest, the police found that the car is owned by Pekovic and that Tomasevic is employed as his personal security.

Pekovic, 31, had played for such teams as Partizan Belgrade, Panathinaikos (with which he won the 2009 EuroLeague title) and the Minnesota Timberwolves. He served as president of Partizan from September 2015 to June 2017.
