Brose Bamberg reached its first title of the season by beating FC Bayern Munich in the final!

Brose Bamberg is the winner of the German Cup, after beating FC Bayern Munich 71-74!

A double-double of Daniel Theis (17 points and 10 rebounds), as well as the incredible 18-point performance of Fabien Causeur were the keys to Brose getting its fifth ever German Cup!

Theis placed Trinchieri’s team ahead by 10 at 18′ and took the first half by storm, leading Brose with 9 points and 3 rebounds 36-45 at halftime.

Barthel reduced to 4 points halfway through the third period, then Theis answered, yet the former drilled from the 3-point line after an assist of Reggie Redding to make the score 46-49. Bamberg‘s defense stopped their opponents to 48-55 after 30 minutes.

Lucic was fouled by Miller and with 3 free throws he dropped the deficit to 3 points at 33’. With 24 second to go, Bayern reduced to 69-70.
