Last week, this column was 4-for-5 in a two-day period that paid off handsomely in the EuroLeague.

And while this week things are going to change, it’s obvious that the hosts have the advantage, but we are ready to take a betting wise risk with “El Clasico”

Unicaja Malaga – Khimki Moscow Region

Malaga may have suffered consecutive defeats in the EuroLeague and they are at the bottom of the standings, but they’ve had to deal with serious injury problems. The Spaniards are not a bad team and, at home especially, they can beat anyone who underestimates them. Khimki is not the same team away from home, while they generally still have several ups and downs in their performance. Plaza’s team can make the surprise and the home win with a handicap (-1,5 at 1,75) can make us some money.

Real Madrid – FC Barcelona Lassa

Real Madrid has a lot of injury problems and this makes the possibility of Luka Doncic emerging as the top scorer of the game (1,65) even more likely. For those who like to place risky bets with big payoffs, the 8.00 on Seraphin as well as the 9.00 on Carroll, who is in form, have some chances. Regarding the game, Barcelona can fight to the end and the +5,5 of the handicap (at 1,75) is probably rather high. In the only game between the two teams this season, Barcelona beat Real in Madrid, while right now both teams are in poor condition, either because they’re dealing with multiple injury problems (Real) or because they still haven’t managed to find their chemistry and identity (Barcelona).

Bamberg Baskets – Olympiacos

Georgios Printezis is dealing with an injury problem but he seems to be getting over it and this is why he travelled to Germany with the rest of the squad. We don’t know whether and to what extent this problem will affect him, but perhaps a small risk with the Under 11,5 (1,75) is worth it in case he doesn’t play much or he’s not in good shape. Along the same line of thinking, we can bet on the H2H, for Hickman to score one point more than Printezis in the game (at 1,65).

Panathinaikos are the big favorites against Milan, but the handicap of 10,5 points prevents us from dealing with this particular bet. The Greens are the third most productive team at home, scoring an average of 84 points in the Olympic Sports Center Athens. Respectively, the Italian team has the worst defense in the EuroLeague, conceding 88,6 points away from Milan. So, the choice of Panathinaikos scoring more than 83,5 points (1,75) looks pretty good. Accordingly, the Over with the limit at 155,5 points (1,75) is also pretty plausible.

Valencia Basket – Crvena Zvezda mts

Valencia is coming off consecutive unsuccessful results in the EuroLeague and the ACB, and at home, against Crvena Zvezda they have the chance to get back to winning. The Spaniards have lost their rhythm, as they’ve had to deal with many injury problems involving key players in the backcourt as well as in the paint. The 1,20 for the home win can be used to boost our payoff on some low-priced combo.
