When told that Vitaly Fridzon commented that the ball’s texture played a part in the many turnovers (22) that the Russian national team committed during the win over Turkey, Shved agreed that it’s difficult to handle it when slippery from sweat.

“The ball is not pretty good. When you get sweat on your hands, you can’t touch the ball. Maybe they will change it in the next EuroBasket,” said Shved during the post-game press conference.

On the victory of Russia over Turkey, Shved said: “The two teams played a great game. Very hard to play against Turkey here. 10.000 fans made it difficult. We played better and made key shots in the last minute. That’s how we won.”

The Khimki Moscow superstar was also asked to talk about Cedi Osman’s diverse performance “A good player. Can play three positions. Everybody knows he can shoot the ball, he can dribble, he can post up. Great a guy and a great player.”
