After being sidelined for almost one month, Tornike Shengelia is ready to hit the floor for Baskonia and join the efforts against Olimpia Milano on Friday, for the 24th Round of the EuroLeague season.

Contrary to the Basques, Milano will miss the services of Zoran Dragic (torn ACL) and Krunoslav Simon.

Shengelia had been injured in a Spanish League game of his team vs Murcia, hurting his knee. He followed a conservative treatment with the original plan being that he’ll be eligible to play in late February/late March.

It’s worth noting that with the Georgian power forward out, Baskonia had a 1 – 6 win/loss record in EuroLeague, falling from the third to the seventh place of the standings.

Shengelia averages 11.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1 assist per game in EuroLeague.
