Playing without injured Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kostas Sloukas, Fenerbahce let Maccabi stay in the game until the last minute finally paid it, as the Israelis got the 81-79 win thanks to Sylven Langesberg who beat the buzzer and had in total 22 points.

Victor Rudd stole the ball with 3 seconds left from Bobby Dixon and Langesberg got the job done! Melih Mahmutoglu (15 p.) and Ekpe Udoh (13 p.) tried their best for the home team, but couldn’t save the day.

Nobody expected the game to turn out this way, after Fenerbahce got a 25-15 lead in just 10 minutes of action. Still Maccabi come back, trailed by three at half time (41-38) and started the second half with a 13-4 run, getting the lead for the first time (51-45). Fenerbahce reacted with a 14-5 run and got the lead back (59-56) at the end of the third, however it was obvious that everything was decided on details.

D.J. Seeley was injured during the game and Joe Alexander with 13 points and the dunk which tied the score at 79 was also crucial for the win. Maccabi was also playing without Andrew Goudelock and Devin Smith.
