Fenerbahce advanced to its third straight Final Four after sweeping Panathinaikos in the playoffs series.

In their third clash in the playoffs series, Fenerbahce sealed its Final Four ticket by beating Panathinaikos 79-61 and finished off the series with a perfect 3-0.

Bobby Dixon led the way with 13 points, while Nikola Kalinic, Ekpe Udoh and Luigi Datome finished in double digits as well, with 10 points each.

The competition was tough right from the beginning of the game, with the visitors easily snapping back from Fener‘s 11-4 lead at 5′. K.C. Rivers tied the score for the first time in the game at 13 points, while after 10 minutes, the hosts kept a short 18-19 head.

James Feldeine fired in the hosts’ basket early in the second period, placing Panathinaikos ahead by 4, yet the answer was quick with a 6-0 run by the Turkish team. Soon, the lead was expanded to 7 points at halftime, 37-30.

Zeljko Obradovic‘s team made it an 11-point game at 23’, with Datome tapping it in for 44-33. The hosts maintained control of the game throughout the period and even led by 10 after 30 minutes, 52-42.

33 minutes in the game, Fenerbahce’s Dixon sent the deficit to 19 points, as he placed his team ahead 63-44.
