With the EuroLeague season over, the clubs have seen their revenues being doubled or even tripled in some cases because of the wins bonuses and new television deals.

The first season of the new EuroLeague format provided not only better quality and spectacle on the court, but also doubled in total the revenues of the clubs to a total of 30 million euros, as Jordi Bertomeu confirmed.

However, the division of the revenues is depended on two things: The success of each team on the court and also the television contract of each country and in some cases that means that revenues have tripled. The wins bonuses for each club are the following.

Fenerbahce €1.930.000
Olympiacos: €1.470.000
CSKA Moscow: €1.390.000
Real Madrid: €1.330.000
Anadolu Efes: €820.000
Panathinaikos: €760.000
Darussafaka: €710.000
Baskonia: €680.000
Crvena Zvezda: €640.000
Zalgiris Kaunas: €560.000
Barcelona: €480.000
Galatasaray: €440.000
Brose Bamberg: €400.000
Maccabi Tel Aviv: €400.000
Unics Kazan: €320.000
EA7 Emporio Armani Milano: €320.000

(As calculated by Marco Pagliariccio)

As CSKA Moscow‘s president Andrey Vatutin has stated, then the television contract comes into place which is just 178.000 euros for his club, while Maccabi Tel Aviv will received 3,5 million euros. The big winners from the new television deals are the clubs from Spain, Greece and of course Maccabi Tel Aviv where the price of the television rights had a 200% rise compared to last season.

In most cases there’s still a long way for most clubs just to break even without their management having to put money from their own pockets, or from revenues provided from the football section. The point, however, remains that the joint venture between the EuroLeague and IMG provided an important rise of revenues and the decade long project of the league is on the right path.
