Panathinaikos want to keep Chris Singleton in the squad and after turning down every buyout bid from other clubs, they are ready to offer him a rather lucrative, two-year deal.

Panathinaikos has offered Chris Singleton a two-year deal, 3.3 million deal, according to SDNA.gr.

If the American forward/center accepts the offer the he’ll become the second highest-paid player of Panathinaikos with an annual salary of $1.650.000. Nick Calathes is right now the one earning more than any of his teammates with over $2.2 million per year.

But that won’t be the end of Singleton’s potential profits Apparently, Panathinaikos wants to him to stay so much that has also offered him 25% from the new buyout clause that will be increased to $2 million (!) starting with the 2018 offseason. Of course, this is a number that might dissuade most clubs from attempting to acquire him.

Singleton may opt out of his current contract with Panathinaikos until July 20, if he receives the offer he wants from the NBA. Thus his answer to the six-time EuroLeague champions will arrive after that date and if he doesn’t find what he’s looking for regarding a possible NBA deal.
