One of the biggest preparation tourneys, the “Zadar Basketball Tournament” closed with a clash between two EuroLeague powerhouses and title contenders.

On the back Jan Vesely‘s 21 points, reigning continental champions Fenerbahce took a 76 – 72 victory over 2016 crown holder CSKA Moscow.

Both teams missed two of their major stars since Jason Thompson (Fenerbahce) and Sergio Rodriguez (CSKA) didn’t play. The game wasn’t short of splendid performances, however.

Gigi Datome (18 points) and Kostas Sloukas (14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) boosted their Fener‘s offense immensely, while Nando De Colo (21 points) and Will Clyburn (16 points) shined for CSKA.

Earlier, in an all-German clash, Bayern Munich beat Brose Bamberg behind 17 points by Vladimir Lucic. Maodo Lo had 12 for Bamberg.
