Gigi Datome of Fenerbahce Dogus talked with Eurohoops about the new season, mentioning that all the EuroLeague teams have now an extra motivation against the champions.
”Every year, some players come, some players go, but the attitude of our new players is strong so we just need time to put them in”.
He also refers to his new teammates and his experience in the summer’s Eurobasket, while he expresses his opinion about the World Cup qualifiers.
”I am proud of the (Italian) team but we got what we deserved. I don’t like this new FIBA schedule. It’s really important for the national teams to play with their best players. I won’t be able to be part of Italy and I think Ι will rest my body next summer”.
