Round 2 of the EuroLeague regular season includes a battle between powerhouses Real Madrid and CSKA Moscow. It’s a classic clash of the competition and a game that also brings Sergio Rodriguez back to Madrid… as an opponent.

A EuroLeague champion with Real Madrid in 2015, “Chacho” will face his former teammates and coaches in “Wiznick Center, Thursday. Among them is “Blancos” head coach Pablo Laso who wouldn’t mind even a monster-performance by Rodriguez, as long as his team smiles in the end.

“I would say I hope that he plays the best game of his life but Real Madrid wins,” said Laso during the pre-game press conference.

CSKA has an enormous depth and lots of players able to do damage in any way imaginable so it will require extreme levels of defensive concentration.

“They have a very open game with a lot of players capable of generating play like De Colo, Chacho, Higgins, Westermann; and on the inside, they’re a team with a lot of mobility, intensity with Hines and Hunter and shooting ability. They are a very complete team and it is difficult to focus only on one player,” Laso commented
