The New Orleans Pelicans announced that they waived Mike James along with Rashad Vaughn.

James is expected to officially join EuroLeague team Panathinaikos, as club owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos had previously stated. In four games with the Pelicans, he totaled four points and six assists in 18 minutes.

The American guard will be back to his former team following an NBA stint that began with the Phoenix Suns and ended with the Pelicans today (10/2). He’s returning to Panathinaikos with which he won the 2017 Greek League and Greek Cup titles.
