Crvena Zvezda suffered a big loss tonight in Germany as Brose Bamberg completely outgunned them. After a loss in the Serbian Cup against their biggest rival Partizan things doesn’t look good for them.

Congrats to Brose Bamberg for tonight’s deserved win. They were smarter and more aggressive than us. They used small fouls way better than we did“, said coach Dusan Alimpijevic. “We looked like a team before the Serbian Cup and after the Cup, we look like a completely different team. It is a bad period for us and I take all the responsibility. I’m taking all the guilt for our bad performance. We need to bounce back after this bad period and we have to work harder as we don’t have room for more mistakes especially in the ABA League“, concluded the Serbian coach.

Brose Bamberg fired Andrea Trinchieri this week and Ilias Kantzouris is his temporary replacement. The Greek coach started with a win and was happy about it. “We needed to react and we did it. After a slow start, we played a solid defense most of the time. We played like a team and that pushed us to the win. We were able to stop a good offensive team like Zvezda. It’s just one win for us. We have to stay humble and go day by day”, stated Kantzouris.
