Jayson Granger led Baskonia to a blow out win over Bamberg with his impressive performance and one step closer to the playoffs.

The Spanish team was on a mission. Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz easily defeated Brose Bamberg 103 – 79 at home and the playoff hopes are closer than ever for coach Pedro Martinez’s team.

The story of the game was Baskonia‘s dominance and offensive show. The Spanish team scored 103 points, had six players in double-digits and shot 55% from the field.

The hosts started the game with a 10-0 run, forcing coach Luca Banchi to call a time-out. The lead even grew to 15 points (22-7), with Granger making the difference.

In the second and third period, the visitors tried to come back but the double-digit deficit would not go away. Timma, Granger, and Diop were affecting the game on both ends of the court positively for the Spanish side. The lead even increased to 30+ points (93-62).

For one more game, Jayson Granger was more than impressive. He finished the night with 17 points (3/4 3p.) and seven assists, in only 17 minutes, while Limane Diop also had an impact on the game in just 12 minutes. The 22-year old added 14 points (4/7 FG).

Tornike Shengelia reached a milestone with his 1,000 points in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He put up 11 points.

For the losing side, Nikos Zisis finished with 17 points. Baskonia improved to 14-13 on the year, while Bamberg slipped to 10-17 with its 11th straight loss on the road.
