Giannakopoulos made a new post in which he was asking why there’s no answer to his questions concerning the referees.
According to Panathinaikos, a new disciplinary proceeding has opened for this post – there’s no official Euroleague announcement yet – and in the post Giannakopoulos wrote: “After five working days and an official complaint by one of the competing clubs for peculiar things happening with the refs (with all the data and tables provided) the EuroLeague CEO doesn’t have something to see… In my country, this is called guilty silence…You needed just a few hours to react to my instagram post, but for a serious matter like the integrity of the competition, you are blind, deaf and stupid. At least tell us why mr. Stokes was chosen as the head of the referees and not a respectable and world acclaimed referee with experience from competitions all over the world”.
According to Panathinaikos sources: “It’s hypocritical for EuroLeague to open a procedure based on the comments made for Stokes, while the real basis is the general intention of the competition and mr. Bertomeu to damage Panathinaikos and Dimitris Giannakopoulos”.
