With a tremendous performance in the second quarter (8-18), Fenerbahce destroyed Crvena Zvezda on the road (65-88). This was the second win for the Turks in group E (2-0), whereas the Serbians suffered their second defeat (0-2).

For the winners, five players scored in double figures, with Bobby Dixon making an impressive double-double (17 points, 11 assists). On the other hand, Quincy Miller had 21 points for the losing squad.

Fenerbahce made a better start to the game (2-9), however the hosts responded immediately and cut the deficit to just one point (13-14), behind an 11-5 run. The situation didn’t change much and the Turks closed the first quarter with a three-point advantage (20-23). The visitors started the second quarter with a 6-0 run to extend their lead to nine points (20-29), but Crvena Zvezda fought back again (27-29), making a 7-0 run of their own. In the remaining minutes, though, Zeljco Obradovic‘s players exploded. Playing very well on both ends of the floor, they went on an 1-12 run to end the first half with a 13-point advantage (28-41).

In the second half, Fenerbahce hit consecutive three-pointers, took a 19-point lead (33-52) and never looked back, as the third quarter ended with the visitors in front by 17 (46-63). In the last quarter, nothing changed significantly, as the hosts were unable to make a big come-back (60-79) and, consequently, Fenerbahce claimed an easy, yet crucial, win on the road.
