Playing with their backs against the wall, Galatasaray stayed alive in the semifinal series against Fenerbahce, winning a hard-fought game 65 – 63 and making the 2-1 in the series.

It was an intense match, from various aspects, in which the “Cimbom” won thanks to their… three musketeers who, like in the story, were four. Blake Schilb (15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists), Errick McCollum (15 points, 5 rebounds), Chuck Davis (15 points) and Stephane Lasme (13 points, 9 rebounds) were the pylons of Galatasaray, contributing 58 out of the 65 points of their team.

On the other side, Fenerbahce controlled the boards, particularly the offensive rebounds (14 against 7 of their opponents) but didn’t manage to make the most out of them. Apart from Ekpe Udoh, who registered a double-double of 18 points/10 rebounds, most players of the guests could not deliver according to their usual standards.

Of course, the game was stigmatized by an temporary 15-minute interruption in the beginning of the fourth period, when some fans of Galatasaray began throwing items to the bench of Fenerbahce, causing coach Obradovic and his players to go to the locker rooms.
