A truly immense Fenerbahce proved to be way too strong to be stopped on its way to winning the Turkish Basketball Super League. With a 91 – 70 victory, coach Zeljko Obradovic and his players defeated Anadolu Efes, making the 4-2 in the series and celebrated the seventh championship title in the club’s history.

Luigi Datome paced the winners with 20 points and 5 rebounds, putting the cherry on the pie of a series of splendid performances in the Finals, which gave him the title of MVP. Meanwhile, Ekpe Udoh had a remarkable all-around game registering a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, plus dishing an impressive number of 6 assists.

Perhaps the final score doesn’t do justice to Fenerbahce‘s superior output throughout the whole game. Actually the point-difference between the two teams even reached a margin of 40 points (!) near the end of the third period when the score became 78 – 38.

Bryant Dunston and Cedi Osman stood out for Anadolu Efes, scoring 18 and 14 points respectively. Coach Caki’s team heavily struggled to follow the rhythm of the opposing side, and fell behind way too much and way too early in order to have any chance for a comeback.
