Milos Teodosic was unanimously chosen as the best Serbian basketball player for 2016 in a voting held by the country’s basketball federation.

Milos Teodosic was unanimously chosen as the best Serbian basketball player for 2016 in a voting held by the country’s basketball federation.

The 29-year-old point guard, who captained Serbian national team to the silver medal in the Olympic Games of Rio and won the EuroLeague with CSKA Moscow, received 31 votes by an equal numbers of media representatives that participated in the voting procedure.

Sonja Petrovic who led the Serbian national team to the bronze medal in the Olympic Games was named best female basketball player with 18 votes. Petrovic left Ana Dabovic, last year’s winner, in in the second place with 13 votes.

Teodosic and Petrovic will receives their awards on December 30 in Belgrade’s “Crown Plaza” hotel.
