The VTB League powerhouses comfortably beat their respective opponents in today’s games (15/1), one day before the uber derby of the championship between Unics Kazan and CSKA Moscow.

Zenit St. Petersburg made the start by dropping 69 (!!!!!) points in the second half to severely outplay Parma on the road thanks to its superior firepower. Coach Karasev’s team improved its record to 9 – 3 while their opponents in the match remain winless.

With Alexey Shved (23 points, 11 assists) and Marko Todorovic (15 points, 18 rebounds) producing large numbers, Khimki Moscow (9-3) faced few problems against Astana (Rob Lowery 18 points) at home, particularly thanks to a dominant fourth quarter (23 – 14). The team from Kazakhstan currently seats at a 6 – 6 record.

Meanwhile Lokomotiv Kuban (10-2) made a display of strength away from home vs Kalev Tallinn (2-10) with no less than six players scoring in double digit figures.
