Gaziantep finally ended their long losing streak in the Basketball Champions League as their last victory was on October 18th when they beat PAOK at home. After suffering eight straight defeats, they took down Neptunas Klaipeda at home 98-94 after overtime.

The Star: Victor Rudd was “rude” tonight, scoring 31 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. He stepped up in crunch time nailing 5 points in the extra period.

The hosts were eager to win tonight’s game stating their intentions right from the begging winning the first ten minutes by 15 points (27-12).

However, the visitors from Lithuania didn’t stay silent. With a strong performance in the last quarter (27-14), Neptunas was back in the game forcing an overtime.

The Key: The hosts had more energy in the overtime as they won the extra five minutes 13-9 thanks to Rudd.

Not enough: Renaldas Seibutis flirted with a triple-double tonight. He had 26 points, 10 boards and 7 assists which were enough for 35 in PIR, but not sufficient for a Neptunas win.

After eleven weeks of action, Gaziantep is hanging on a 3-8 record while Neptunas is standing on a 6-5.
