While the duo of Balbay and Batuk have said that they are open to play for the national team, despite the scheduling issues with EuroLeague’s games, Mahmutoglu and the rest of Fenerbahce‘s players have stated that they will not compete for the national team in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
The Turkish national team will start practicing on the 20th of November and it remains to be seen what Mahmutoglu, the captain of Fenerbahce, will do.
In total 14 players are called and the rest of the list consists of the following names: Tolga Geçim, Sertaç Şanlı, Semih Erden, Furkan Aldemir, Hüseyin Göksenin Köksal, Ege Arar, Berk İbrahim Uğurlu, Metin Türen, Alp Karahan, J.Metecan Birsen, Barış Ermiş.
