Dusko Savonic decided to retire after 14 seasons in European basketball.

Dinamo Sassari’s Dusko Savanovic has decided to retire at the age of 33, as announced by his agent Misko Raznatovic.

The Serbian power forward joined Sassari last summer and finished off the season there. He has played for Bayern, Anadolu Efes, Valencia, Cajasol Sevilla, Unics and helped FMP reach the ABA League title in 2006.

Savanovic had been a member of the Serbian national team at the 2010 FIBA World Championship where Serbia was defeated 99-88 by Lithuania in the game for the bronze medal. He has also played for the national team at the EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania, where Serbia finished 8th.
