Amedeo Della Valle scored 19 points plus the key free throws that sealed his team’s victory, as Reggio Emilia beat top-seeded Avellino 89 – 86.

Manu Markoishvili added 14 points and James White 13 for the winning squad that got what might be a crucial win on the race of the playoffs since they are now 10th with 6 – 10.

Kyrylo Fesenko’s 22 points plus 9 rebounds and the 21 points courtesy of Jason Rich weren’t enough for Avellino that dropped to 12-4.

Thanks to a partial score in the extra period, Cantu defeated Sassari 102 – 96, improving to 10 -6 and the sixth spot in the standings.

Cantu was led by Jaime Smith who had 23 points and Jeremy Chappel that posted a double-double of 22 points/10 rebounds for Cantu. For the ninth Sassari (8-8), Dyshawn Pierre finished with 26 points plus 10 boards.
