The Serbian player of Unicaja tells SportKlub that joining the NT “would be an honor”, yet the situation is “complicated”.

When asked about whether he, Nedovic and Musli will play in the FIBA “windows”, he noted that all of them desire so. “Each and every one of us would like to play for our national team, it is a huge honor.”

As reported on Wednesday, the final decision may be on the players’ hands, yet Milosavljevic explains that this comes at a price: “Unicaja did not let us go – they said that they can‘t keep us by force, but they also told us that we will be sanctioned if we go. We don‘t know what awaits back in Unicaja if we play in the FIBA qualifications, we weren‘t told what the punishment would be.”

UPDATE: According to Unicaja Malaga, there’s no threat for any sanction, but the will for the players to comply with the demands of the club and the schedule.
