Omri Casspi has agreed to sign a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the remainder of the season, as ESPN reports.
The 28-year-old Israeli swingman had been a free agent after the New Orleans Pelicans waived him following a broken right thumb injury in just his first game with the team.
According to ESPN, Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau personally met with the player this weekend and the deal will be finalized tomorrow (20/3).
Casspi has averaged 6.1 points and 4 rebounds in the season so far.
