NBA and EuroLeague veteran Mirza Teletovic is forced to retire at 32 years of age, due to the ongoing health problems with blood clots in his lungs, according to Milwaukee Bucks reporter Gery Woelfel.

“Mirza Teletovic’s career is over,” Woelfel said citing sources.

The Bosnian forward was sidelined indefinitely in December after being diagnosed with pulmonary emboli in both lungs. This was the second time that blood clots were discovered in his lungs since he faced the same issue January 2015 when he played with the Brooklyn Nets.

Back then, Teletovic’s life could’ve been in great danger if not for a last-minute intervention of Nets trainer Timmy Walsh who insisted for a CT scan that revealed the clots, after a doctor gave the player a non-diagnosis.

Teletovic resumed playing after the completion of 2014-2015, but now this latest development might be forcing him to an early career ending.
