Serbian fans flooded “United Center” and Nikola Jokic provided them with a show.

About 500 Serbian fans attended the game between the Denver Nuggets against the Bulls in Chicago to watch their beloved Nikola Jokic play.

On “Serbian Heritage Night”, the “Joker” really gave them something to marvel at: 21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists that helped the Nuggets beat the Bulls.

There were flags and “Serbia – Serbia” cheers, all for Jokic who really enjoyed being adored so much.

“The ovation, the fans, the people from Serbia that brought the fans. This is the atmosphere when the Serbians are playing. Just imagine the whole arena doing that. The whole Serbian population loves basketball. We are a country of basketball. That’s what we do,” Jokic said after the game per Nuggets.com.

The Serbian center also added the following:

On feeling proud that so many Serbian fans came to see him:

“Of course! 500 people came from me and I think it’s a big deal. It’s really cool. They were just calling me cheering me they just came to see me and show me support. They are just having fun. That’s what we do.”

On the importance of the road win over the Bulls:

“On the road just play good and be aggressive it’s a good thing. Aggressiveness was the key. We had the confidence to take shots. Even the bad shots. The whole team believes in you and when it’s like that, it’s easy to play.”
