For Monaco it was mostly the exceptional defense that got the job done vs ASVEL. The Monegasques won 71 – 66 after managing to shut off their opponents’ engines to tie the series 1-1.

Dee Bost scored a game-high 16 points, Jamal Shuler 14 and Zach Wright 11 points for the winning squad while Livio Jean-Charles finished with 14 points and Charles Kahudi pitched in 11 from ASVEL’s side.

Strasbourg beat Orthez 83 – 68 in Pau after a quite efficient game and lots of work by the trio of AJ Slaughter (19 points), Mouhammadou Jaiteh (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Romeo Travis (12 points, 7 rebounds).

Five players scored in double figures for Orthez with Antywane Robinson finishing with 14 points, Alain Kofi with 13, Taqwa Pinero 12, John Cox 11 while D.J. Cooper posted a double-double of 12 points/12 assists. But they weren’t enough to prevent defeat and a Game 3 on the road.
