Banvit and Anadolu Efes emerged victoriously o Sunday evening in the Turkish league!

Once again, Banvit surprised in the Turkish league Round 17, this time by prevailing over Darussafaka on the road with 70-76. This marks the visitors’ 11th win (5 losses), while David Blatt’s team holds an equal record now.

Jordan Theodore’s 17 points and 8 assists led the visitors to this important win, while Furkan Korkmaz and Gediminas Orelik scored 12 points each.

For Darussafaka, Brad Wanamaker scored 20 points, as Dairis Bertans added 10 more.

Later in the day, Anadolu Efes struggled but beat TED Ankara on the road 72-74 and improved to 14-2 in the standings, keeping its opponents to the bottom place with 16 losses.

For the winners, Thomas Heurtel led with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists, as 3 players finished with 12 points: Cedi Osman, Tyler Honeycutt and Derrick Brown.

For TED, Shannon Shorter’s 21 points weren’t enough to give his team the precious home victory even if they got close to it.
