Clark, Thompson lead Besiktas past Galatasaray

Earl Clark and Michael Thompson combined for half of Besiktas’ points, while Galatasaray didn’t take advantage of the momentum from the EuroLeague victory over Olympiacos.

The duo of Earl Clark and Michael Thompson sliced Galatasaray‘s defense in half as Besiktas won 90 – 84 to remain third in BSL standings with a 17 – 5 record.

Clark scored 24 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 5 assists, while Thompson finished with 21 points plus 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

Galatasaray was coming from a road triumph in EuroLeague but fell to Sarica’s players, despite the 20 points and 7 rebounds by Sinan Guler and the 18 points plus 5 rebounds courtesy of Vladimir Micov.

Thus the Cimbom are sixth in the standings, with a 12 – 10 record and way further from the top four of the table.

Still the top of the standings belong to the duo of Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce which prevailed over Banvit and Demir Buyukcekmece respectively and share a 20-2 record. Meanwhile Dogus Darussafaka is tied with Banvit at the fourth spot with a 15-7 record after beating TED Kolejliler.
