The double-double and crunch time impact of Vladimir Stimac paced Besiktas towards a road victory against Anadolu Efes that granted them the second spot in the Turkish league regular season

Vladimir Stimac posted a double-double of 22 points plus 10 rebounds as Besiktas beat Efes 91-90 in “Abdi Ipekci” and finished the Turkish League regular season at the second spot in the standings.

Michael Roll also provided the lot for Ufuk Sarica’s squad with 17 points , 9 assists and 6 rebounds while Michael Thompson added 17 points.

While this win meant much for Besiktas, as it was evident by the celebrations in the end and at the same time, the result created a series between league powerhouses in the first round of the playoffs, between now third Anadolu Efes and sixth Galatasaray.

Thomas Heurtel (14 points) was the one to miss the game-winning attempt for Efes since his floater with 4 seconds left went off target. Jayson Granger (25 points), Derrick Brown (19 points) and DeShaun Thomas (15 points) paced their team on offense.

Earlier, fourth in the standings Darussafaka Dogus defeated Best Balikesir behind 95 – 72 with Will Clyburn and Dairis Bertans scoring 17 points apiece.
