Darussafaka shuts down Eskisehir, advances to semifinal

Darussafaka faced few problems against Eskisehir thanks to an excellent defensive effort in the second half.

Darussafaka became the first team to advance to the semifinals of the Turkish Cup tournament after defeating Eskisehir 59- 75.

Coach David Blatt’s players had an aggressive 15 – 24 entrance which left Eskisehir trailing for the remainder of the match. After the break (38 – 42) Dacka forced its opponents to a mere 7 points in the third quarter to enter the final stretch up 45 – 57 and assume complete control.

JaJuan Johnson posted a double-double of 17 points/12 rebounds for Dacka while Scottie Wilbekin and James Bell added 12 points apiece. Vyacheslav Kravtsov scored 12 and grabbed 10 rebounds for Eskisehir.

Darussafaka will face the winner of the quarterfinal game between Fenerbahce and Anadolu Efes in the next round.
