After Game 1 and 2 in the EuroLeague playoffs we have already four breaks, as many as they have been registered in total in the previous four season!

While the home court advantage is important, it doesn’t guarantee anything when the game starts. However it’s more than worth mentioning that for the first time since 2011 four breaks in the first two games were registered and also for the first time the guests got two breaks with Fenerbahce beating twice Panathinaikos at OAKA.

Taking into account the playoffs since the best-of-five format is used, the general rule is that home advantage rules, specially in recent years. However this changed this time, even if a break also may not mean much in the course of a series.

Here’s the number of breaks registered in the Game 1 and Game 2 of EuroLeague since 2009 with Barcelona being five teams the victim of an upset.
