A tough battle between the two teams in their first quarterfinal game.

Unics Kazan beat Lokomotiv in Krasnodar 62-71, grabbing its first win in the quarterfinals of the VTB league.

Evgeny Pashutin’s team had 4 players scoring in double digits, with Anton Ponkrasov leading the way and adding 15, Quino Colom followed with 14, while Artsiom Parakhouski and Coty Clarke scored 11 points each.

After a balanced first quarter, in which the score was tied to 17 points, Unics led 31-37 at halftime.

The visitors seized control with just one minute remaining in the game and expanded their lead to 10 points, 59-69.
