Following the EuroLeague victory over Zalgiris Kaunas, CSKA Moscow head coach Dimitris Itoudis expressed his disappointment at how his players performed in the fourth period.

Well, this time the reigning VTB League champions had a stunning final quarter (14-23) thanks to which they subdued Khimki Moscow down the stretch to win 96 – 81 on the road.

Not only did the trio of Nando De Colo (25 points, nine assists, five rebounds), Nikita Kurbanov (21 points, five rebounds) and Kyle Hines (15 points, six rebounds) pace CSKA overall but were also the main figures behind a decisive 0-11 run for the 71-83 in the mid of the fourth period.

Khimki was unable to recover after falling behind with a double-digit deficit. Alexey Shved scored 21 points and dished out five assists, Malcolm Thomas added 13 points and James Anderson 11.

Almost four minutes into the final quarter, Dimitris Itoudis was ejected with his second technical foul.
