In total 27 teams are participating in the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 Qualifiers phase and with the excpetion of Sweden in the three teams group C, the games for everyone else begins tomorrow.
From those 27 teams, 11 will be qualified in the next summer’s tournament. To be exact the first placed teams in each group will qualify for the Final Round of EuroBasket 2017. Additionally the four best 2nd placed teams will qualify for the Final Round of EuroBasket 2017.
Already 14 teams have qualified and they are the four hosts (Finland, Israel, Romania, and Turkey) and also 10 teams which participated in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments and the Rio Olympics (Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Spain, Turkey)
Eurobasket 2017 qualifiers (1st gameday)
Group A: Belgium vs. Cyprus at 18:00 CEST; Iceland vs. Switzerland at 21:15 CEST
Group B: Germany vs. Denmark at 19:30 CEST, Netherlands vs Austria at 20:00 CET
Group C: Russia vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina at 17:00 CEST
Group D: Estonia vs. Belarus at 18:10 CEST; Poland vs. Portugal at 20:00 CEST
Group E: Ukraine vs. Bulgaria at 18:00 CEST; Slovenia vs. Kosovo at 20:00 CEST
Group F: Georgia vs. Albania at 17:00 CEST; Montenegro vs. Slovak Republic at 21:00 CEST
Group G: Hungary vs. Great Britain at 18:00 CEST; FYROM vs. Luxembourg at 20:30 CEST
