Valencia has made a great start to the season, however Sam Van Rossom’s injury is bad news for the team. A few hours ago, the Spanish club tweeted that the Belgian guard will remain sidelined for 3-4 weeks, due to injury.

In Sunday’s match against Gipuzkoa, Van Rossom suffered an injury and went to the hospital for further evaluation after the end of the match. The medical tests showed that the 29-year-old player has twisted his left knee and, as a result, he will be out of action for the next three to four weeks, as his return is expected in the first days of January.

Van Rossom was one of Valencia‘s key players in the squad’s extraordinary performances so far, averaging 9.1 points, three assists and two rebounds in 21 minutes of action and his absence leaves a big gap in the team’s backcourt.
