Milos Teodosic has been a CSKA Moscow player since 2011, after departing from Olympiacos. Although CSKA has been present in each and every Final Four, since then, the only thing that both Milos and his team are missing, is the crown of the Euroleague champion.

For now, the obstacle in the playoffs is Crvena Zvezda. The Russians have the home-court advantage, they are more qualitative, experienced and the absolute favorites. But, as Milos Teodosic said to Eurohoops, after his team’s game versus Olympiacos in Piraeus…. nothing is easy unless you make it happen!

Crvena Zvezda has already exceeded expectations in Euroleague”, said Milos. “They play like a true team, they are good in defense, they have players who are gifted in offense and have achieved many big victories in the competition. We respect them, we know their strengths and there is no way that we are going to underestimate them. Indeed, we are the favorite but in order to confirm that we need to make three victories against them. We must show on the floor that we are the better team. In this level, no victory comes easy and nothing is certain unless you play well and make it happen”.

Everyone in Serbia, and not only, knows that Milos Teodosic, the national team’s leader during the last seven years, is a Red Star fan (just look at the photo)! He has never hidden his feelings and his love towards the club. Now, he is going to face them in order to get to the Final Four.

“Everyone knows what my relationship with Crvena Zvezda is and how I feel about the team. But I am a professional, I am playing for CSKA, and these are the Euroleague playoffs we are talking about. The games are going to be tough. I must be stripped of all emotions, stay focused on what is happening in each match and do what I have to do on the court. Red Star and the crowd are going to be opponents for me, but only for as long as the series is going to last”.
