Tomas Delininkaitis and Dimitris Mavroeidis share the MVP award after the 17th Day of the Greek Basket League. They both had brilliant performances in their team’s victories gathering 32 points each in the evaluation system.

The Lithuanian combo guard led Rethymnon Cretan Kings to a much important win against Arkadikos 89 – 76, showing that he definitely can provide the leadership from which he arrived to the team. Delininkaitis scored 23 points with sublime shooting of 2/2 two point shots, 4/5 from behind the arc and 7/7 free throws. He also grabbed 3 rebounds, dished 3 assists and stole the ball twice.

“If the team wins then I’m happy. We are between getting in danger of elimination or making it to the playoffs. If we want to make it to the latter we have to play well all the time and “bleed” for the result”, said the experienced Lithuanian player.

AEK used the strong arm of Dimitris Mavroeidis to overpower Koroivos, 70 – 49. The 30 year old Greek center scored 16 points with 6/7 field goals, while gathering 8 rebounds and blocking his opponents two times in the game.

This win keeps the Athenian club at the third place of the standings, something that means a lot to its player. “That is our goal. To finish third and have a relative advantage in the playoffs. We have diffcult games ahead of us, but if we continue working with the same rhythm with our coach, we will keep this position”.
